Ms Penner has more than 10 years of experience working in the oil sands mining industry, where she studied the geochemical and water chemistry aspects of establishing best practices for oil sands reclamation. She is knowledgeable in microbiology, chemistry, geochemistry, hydrocarbon degradation, molecular genetics, and environmental science.
